At the Bartholomew Arms, our quiet rural location doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the fun. Located in Blakesley and as one of the most popular public houses in Towcester, we are perfectly situated for easy access to the Silverstone circuit and Towcester Racecourse while Milton Keynes, the fastest-growing city in the country, is nearby for access to the Xscape Snowdome and Airkix.
If you prefer something more traditional for your days out, the Bartholomew Arms is in within reach of Sulgrave Manor (formerly home to George Washington’s ancestors), the Stowe School National Trust House and the historic towns of Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon. Other nearby venues include Woburn Safari Park and Warwick Castle.
If travelling isn’t on the agenda and you simply want to sit back and relax, we are one of the best pubs with a garden in Towcester where families can soak up the summer weather and the Bartholomew Arms always has ample room for the children to play!
The Bartholomew Arms itself is set in the picturesque village of Blakesley and completely built in famous Northamptonshire limestone. As a Brakespear public house, we always have an extensive selection of permanent real ales and guest ales available alongside hearty pub food in Towcester cooked in our own kitchens using locally sourced products.
Comfortable accommodation is available with four dedicated ‘Bed and Breakfast’ rooms, three of which enjoy sizeable en-suite facilities whilst the fourth has its own private bathroom. Accommodation consists of two double rooms and two twin rooms although we are happy to convert to a family room complete with sofa bed and optional travel cot facilities if additional space is required
The Bartholomew Arms is a perfect venue for live music in Towcester. We also hold regular discos and quiz nights where the entertainment, fun and banter are second-to-none.
The Bartholomew Arms is ideally placed between Junction 10 of the M40 and Junction 15a of the M1 for easy access to London, Birmingham and Oxford.
